just femme + dandy is managed and published by a tiny but mighty team of LGBTQIA+ editors and artists interested in how fashion within queer community offers expressions related to potentiality, reclamation, identity, joy, and connection.

We publish under three main platforms: POCKET SQUARE, a fashion album of queer fashion journalism and photography included with a 7” vinyl from an indie queer musician; our just femme + dandy newsletter, an online magazine and a digital archive of queer fashion writing; and keep jfd scrappy, a lo-fi/handmade/DIY publishing project of zines, broadsides, handmade chapbooks, and other art objects (coming soon).

Designer - We are currently looking for a designer who would love to collaborate with us on POCKET SQUARE (and potentially keep jfd scrappy)! This designer would have a love and skill for analog and digital design, is invested in independent queer publishing, and is willing to cultivate a relationship over time. There would also be opportunities to cross-promote, highlight that designer’s work in our pages and social media (and potentially fests and other events where we sell our projects). We are looking for someone who communicates well and has a collaborative spirit when it comes to design (i.e. has their own ideas they’re willing to bring to the table). Bonus points if you already have a connection to a print shop that has a risograph in additional to digital capabilities.
