The just femme + dandy newsletter is a community-built collective archival resource on LGBTQ+ fashion, including the following main columns: TIMELINES (histories of designers, icons, styles, and signature sartorial items), STYLESHARE (skills, tips, and tutorials), TRENDS (past or present), SPECTATORS (reviews on films, theater, dance, music videos, fashion shows and exhibits, and more), and SPOTLIGHT (profiles and interviews on unsung voices leading the future in queer fashion). We also feature recurring guest columns, such as Alison Lubar’s FUTCH ENOUGH and Maya-Gawonii Shabazz-Saleh’s advice column, Dear Baddie on a Budget. In your submission, include a pitch of your idea (and the earliest you’d be able to send a completed draft), bio and any relatable fashion/writing/publishing history. We’re open to any and all writers/artists, so don’t worry if you have no publishing credits, we’d still love to hear from you. If you have ideas that apply but are out of the box of the above, we welcome them! We pay, rate dependent on budget and piece.
